Halloween this year is on a Tuesday, and have I bought candy yet? Oh, you bet I haven’t! The neighbor kiddos are going to be shuffling around the cul de sac in the cold, dark MN evening (maybe even snow?!)… with the cutest ones just barely learning to walk! I can’t wait! We finally moved to a neighborhood with young couples with kids who take their kids trick or treating! However… for those of us going the opposite direction and throwing an over 21 years of age gathering who want to have adult beverages, here are some cleverly-named Halloween-Themed Cocktails!
Vampire’s Bag-Lunch
What you need:
- -Blood Bags – order this set on Etsy here from TheMoleculeShop
- -2 oz Vodka
- -1 oz Cherry Liqueur
- -Cranberry Juice
How to make it:
- -Mix vodka and liqueur in bag. Fill the rest with cranberry juice
- -Suck it down!
Witches Brew Martini
What you need:
- -Sugar and a saucer for the rim
- -1 oz vodka
- -1.5 oz lemon/lime soda
- -2.5 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
- -2.5 oz OJ
- -Ice
- -Shaker
How to make it:
- -Wet with rim of the glass, and dip it in the saucer of sugar
- -Mix vodka, soda, liqueur, OJ and ice in the shaker for 10-30 seconds
- -Pour into martini glass and enjoy!
Black Widow Poison
What you need:
- -Black cocktail rimming sugar – buy it on Etsy here, from dellcoespices
- -6 oz Blackberry Juice (1/2 cup water, 2-16oz frozen blackberries)
- -1 oz Simple Syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar)
- -2 oz vodka
- -Blackberries for garnish
- -Shaker and Ice
How to make it:
- -Blackberry Juice: bring water and blackberries (thawed) to a boil until a juice consistency. Strain the seeds
- -Simple Syrup: bring water and sugar to a boil in saucepan until sugar has dissolved
- -Rim the glass with Black Sugar
- -Mix vodka, juice, syrup in a shaker with ice
- -Pour into the glass and serve with blackberries
- -Drink responsibly!
