Let’s move the party outside! Even though the freezing cold is upon us here in the Midwest, we can still throw an awesome outdoor party in the winter! Here are some great tips on what you will need to stay warm and keep your guests entertained!

1 – Bonfire

This is a must. It’s the center of it all. Where you will eat, drink, and laugh all night.

2 – Extra Blankets

Have extra blankets for everyone to cuddle up with and stay nice and toasty. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have extra pairs of mittens, boots and coats for those who forgot it’s winter.

3 – Party Lights

It gets dark earlier now, so make sure to bring light by wrapping them around your trees! And don’t forget to light up the walk ways.

4 – Thermoses

Keep your hot beverages in thermoses. They also moonlight as hand warmers!

5 – Easy and Warm Meal

Serve hot and comforting foods that will warm their souls. Like chili and soups!

6 – S’mores

This is a great way to keep everyone hanging around the bonfire! And who doesn’t love marshmallows and chocolate?!

7 – Party Games

 

There are some fun winter games out there! Start a treasure hunt! It’s a bit more challenging in the snow, but a heck of a lot more fun! Wouldn’t it be great to watch your favorite holiday movie OUTSIDE! I know! And when in doubt build a snowman or have a snowball fight!
